Mike Caza

Owner/Coach

Mike Caza is recognized as a leader in the field of Strength & Conditioning, Functional training and general fitness.  He currently spends his time teaching, training and managing PSC.  Prior to starting PSC, Mike was an Olympic level track athlete having competed in the 1996 & 2000 Olympic trials and across the world on 4 different continents in various international competitions where he gained invaluable experience.  From 1994-98, Mike was mentored by Dan Pfaff who was mentored by Tom Tellez both of whom have produced the fastest athletes in the world including Olympic champions Donovan Bailey and Carl Lewis.  While at Kent State, Mike graduated with a degree in Exercise Science and went on to become Male Athlete of the Year in 1998, earned All-American status in 1997 and was inducted into the KSU Hall of Fame in 2017. Mike has worked with athletes from the NFL, MLS, MLB, NHL, IBL and at the youth, middle school, high school and collegiate level from virtually every school in Northeast Ohio.

In 2004, Mike realized he had acquired invaluable knowedge and founded Premier Sport Conditioning & Fitness to help both athletes and adults learn proper training methods to perform at their best.  Today, PSC has become one of the top training facilties in the Midwest and has been influential in the development of thousands of individuals.

Mike has been a featured speaker at numerous Strength & Conditioning events and to many local businesses in the areas of Functional training, Sport Specific Conditioning and General Fitness training.  Mike has written articles for Men’s Health, Volleyball Magazine and Women’s Basketball to name a few.  Mike enjoys reading, golfing and spending time with his wife Kerry and their twins Madison and Michael.

Lenny Karpinski

Lead Coach/Internship Coordinator

Lenny earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from Cleveland State University in Cleveland, Ohio in 2013. In May of 2016, Lenny earned his Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. In addition to educational experience, Lenny completed his Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification in 2014 and his Olympic weightlifting certification (USAW-1) from the USA Weightlifting Association in 2013.

Prior to coaching at Premier Sport Conditioning, Lenny served as an assistant Strength & Conditioning coach for one year at Speed Strength Systems in Chesterland, Ohio under the mentorship of head coach and owner Tim Robertson. In 2014, Lenny was a Strength & Conditioning intern at Kent State University for one year under the guidance of Head Strength & Conditioning coach Bob Lemeiux. Prior to Kent State, Lenny’s beginning experience started in 2013 at Cleveland State for over a year under the supervision of Head Strength & Conditioning coach Tim Bilbrey.

Before entering the Strength & Conditioning profession, Lenny served 5 years of active duty service in the U.S. Army. After completing Army Infantry Training at Fort Benning, Georgia in 2003, he served in the Army’s 10th Mountain Division in Fort Drum, New York and deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2005-2006.

Nic Saluppo

Strength & Conditioning Coach

Nic Saluppo earned his B.A. in Exercise Science from the University of Mount Union and is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer.  Nic has 11 years’ experience training clients in the areas of athletic performance, weight loss, and helping aching bodies feel better. From elite athletes such as NFL star Pierre Garcon, to 88 year old beginners, Nic blends scientific research with artful application of physiological principles to create an experience that deeply resonates with your specific needs. Nic was the Strength Coach for the 2015 NCAA DIII national champion Mount Union football program, and himself a 3x NCAA all-American track and field athlete.

 

Marisa Seitz

Strength & Conditioning Coach 

Marisa graduated from Miami University with a BS in both Kinesiology and Nutrition in May 2017.  She is currently finishing her studies to become a certified personal trainer with the National Academy of Sports Medicine. (NASM)  Marisa strives to live a healthy lifestyle by participating in a wide variety of fitness activities including running, practicaing yoga and weightlifting.  She also enjoys clean eating and is constantly trying new recipes.  Marisa was involved with soccer, dance and track throughout high school and is excited to be training athletes and adults at PSC.
