Premier Training index (PTI)

The PTI is a motivational scoring system that allows parents, athletes and coaches to see tangible improvements throughout the training process. The PTI rates the athletes overall athleticism in 3 categories; Consistency of Training, Strength Level and Performance Evaluation results. Each athlete’s results are calculated then scored on a 100 point scale using Premier Sport Conditioning’s “in house” formula that was designed from over 5 years of tracking athlete training results.

The 100 point scale has 7 different training levels that determine an athlete’s overall athleticism (white, red, black, bronze, silver, gold and platinum). As an athlete progresses through the levels, their potential for better athletic performance increases. The PTI motivates athletes and gives them a sense of purpose to progress with their training for continued improvement in their sport(s).

When an athlete reaches a new level, it is an exciting time for the athletes as well as the PSC coaching staff. Athletes are rewarded for their accomplishment with a colored PSC t-shirt that reflects the level they have progressed to:

White

(Girls 0-18 points, Guys 0-20 points)
This is the entry level for all new PSC athletes. Athletes at this level are beginning their training at PSC and will focus on basic fundamental training techniques.

Red

(Girls 19-29 points, Guys 21-31 points)
At this level, athletes are starting to show visual improvements in speed, strength, power and core strength. The athletes at this level have progressed to intermediate training and have show consistency in their training

Black

(Girls 30-43 points, Guys 32-45 points)
Athletes at the black level are demonstrating better performance on the playing field and are showing more significant improvements in their training. Many of the drills are becoming more permanently ingrained in their body and strength levels are continuing to increase.

Bronze

(Girls 44-57 points, Guys 46-60 points)
This is the platform that all junior high/ high school athletes should aspire to attain in 3-12 months of training. For some athletes, it may take longer since some athlete’s progress quicker than others. Athletes that achieve the Bronze level have made significant changes to their body and are feeling the difference in their performance on the playing field.

Silver

(Girls 58-73 points, Guys 61-76 points)
At this level, athletes are in the upper percentile of other athletes their age. Athletes at this level have progressed through several different high level training sequences in speed, strength, power and agility. The athlete’s performance in their sport(s) is more consistent, explosive and is visually more athletic.

Gold

(Girls 74-92 points, Guys 77-94 points)
This level represents top level high school and collegiate performers on a national scale. These athletes have progressed through novice, intermediate and are currently training at the advanced stage of their development. Athletes that reach this stage have trained for approximately 1-2 years, have increased strength levels 100% and have reached a very high level of athleticism.
